Samsung is also working on sub-screen camera technology. However, it can go the way already verified by other companies – to use a retractable selfie camera.
According to data provided by renowned OnLeaks insider, Samsung is working on a smartphone with a retractable selfie camera. In addition, the insider also published fresh renderings of the future Samsung smartphone. Its front camera is located in a retractable module, which is located at the top of the mobile device. This design solution allows you to use the display without cutouts and holes for the selfie camera. However, the use of this design has its drawbacks. For example, the user will have to wait a bit before the camera moves out of the case, after which it can already be used.
According to rumours, a Samsung smartphone with a retractable camera will be equipped with a 6.5-inch display. Also, this device will receive a triple main camera. A fingerprint scanner is integrated into the back of the mobile device. At the bottom of the gadget are a USB Type-C port, speaker and microphone. Today it is not yet known whether the phone will support 5G or 4G. However, nothing prevents Samsung from releasing the 4G and 5G versions of the phone.
